My name is Ms. Kabat.

I'm originally from Greenleaf, WI.

My birthday is August 16th.

I graduated from St. Ambrose University, located in Davenport, Iowa. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education.

I have 15 years of teaching experience in grades 3, 4 and 5.

Additionally, I've been trained in Multiple Intelligences, TRIBES and Differentiated Learning.

Teaching Philosophy:

"Learning is not a spectator sport." Students learn best when they actively participate in their own learning.

Third grade students look for pond life at Barkhausen Waterfowl Preserve. Their search culminated in finding a few frogs.

A student determines how added weight affects the vehicle's motion. This was an activity of Motion and Design - an Einstein Science kit.

The students conclude their unit on Motion and Design using rubberband energy to move their vehicles in the school's hallway.
