An important component of an independent school education is being active in sports. We have provided a list of alternatives to school sports that children can participate in. We've included some programs currently available. Meanwhile, WIS will continue to develop its own sports programs.

Many public school districts have elementary and middle school basketball programs for boys and girls. League play does occur among these teams with the intention of preparing the students for high school-level basketball. |
| |
Several local private middle schools also have basketball programs and participate in league play. WIS students are invited to participate on those teams until we have the number of participants necessary to form a team ourselves. |
