Independent schools educate the whole child, and athletics is an important part of that. The WIS community has aggressively pursued sports opportunities that make sense for its students. Currently WIS offers interscholastic sports for Tennis, Fall Cross Country, Fall Soccer, and Spring Track as part of other area middle school teams.
We also offer a running club for WIS students led by 4th teacher Marie Sumnicht and WIS parent Wesley Garner. Students train daily, and many participate in the Cellcom Children's Run as well as the Bellin Run.
The Cross Country Team is offered to students in grades 4-8 where they compete with other middle school teams in Brown County.
Intramural Team Tennis and participation in the yearly winter ski trip for the middle school Phy Ed Unit generate much interest in the WIS student body as well.
