Class 1: Exploring Numbers and Basic Algebra

Objective: Introduce students to the world of numbers and basic algebraic concepts through fun activities. 

Topics:

  • Understanding numbers: counting, place value, and number operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Introduction to simple algebraic expressions using variables.
  • Solving basic one-step equations with real-life examples.
  • Fun math puzzles and games to reinforce concepts.
Class 2: Geometry and Shapes

Objective: Discover the properties of geometric shapes and understand basic measurements. 

Topics:

  • Identifying and classifying shapes: circles, triangles, rectangles, and more.
  • Exploring perimeter and area through interactive projects (e.g., designing a garden).
  • Introduction to symmetry and basic geometric transformations (rotation, reflection).
  • Creative activities: building shapes with everyday items.
Class 3: Introduction to Fractions and Decimals

Objective: Learn about fractions and decimals with visual aids and practical examples. 

Topics:

  • Understanding fractions: parts of a whole, addition and subtraction of fractions with like denominators.
  • Converting between fractions and decimals.
  • Simple multiplication and division with fractions and decimals.
  • Real-life applications: cooking, shopping, and measuring.
Class 4: Basics of Graphs and Data

Objective: Explore how to collect, display, and interpret data in fun and interactive ways. 

Topics:

  • Collecting data: surveys on favorite hobbies, sports, etc.
  • Introduction to graphs: bar charts, pie charts, and line graphs.
  • Learning to read and interpret graphs.
  • Hands-on project: creating a class survey and presenting the data in graphs.
Class 5: Fun with Problem Solving and Math Games

Objective: Develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills through puzzles, games, and group challenges. 

Topics:

  • Solving math puzzles and riddles.
  • Introduction to logic and reasoning with simple problems.
  • Group math games focusing on quick thinking and math operations.
  • Review of key concepts from previous classes through interactive quizzes.
